Huge congratulations to my wonderful local independent bookshop – The Edinburgh Bookshop – on winning Children’s Bookseller of the Year at the BIA awards. It’s richly deserved: not only do they have a great range of children’s (and adults) books, they have fantastically knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff, who can always give you the perfect recommendation for that hard-to-buy-for birthday.
As for the writing… it’s chugging along as I get to know my characters. There’s a slight delay at the moment though, as I have 90+ school reports to write. Guess what I’m off to do now….
