Exciting times…

Poor, shamefully neglected blog. You’ve had a hard time recently, living on crumbs, sleeping in a cardboard box, or at least the bloggy equivalent.

It’s in a good cause though. I’m really busy just now preparing to quit teaching and become a full time writer – fanfare, please. This is both hugely exciting and massively terrifying. Will a publisher ever buy a book from me again? Will I be living on baked beans with a boiled egg as my Christmas treat? Don’t care: doing it anyway.

So, the blogiverse will remain quiet until July, when, hopefully, I’ll have time to have a bit of a relaunch.

Meantime, I’ve also been doing lots of events. Down to Hawick and Peebles libraries for British Science Week, then to  Dumfries House for the wonderful Boswell Book Festival, off to Callendar House in Falkirk (beautiful – didn’t even know it existed) for the LandWords Festival, a visit to Davidson’s Mains Primary (great questions!) and, coming up at the end of the month, Borders Science Festival. Phew!

  1. That is fabulous news – huge loss to your school, but huge gain for all those waiting words!
